FSA
Schedule 2012

Welcome
to Red Bluff Lhtako’s website.
We are
located at 1533 Maple Drive in Quesnel , British Columbia
. Our school's current population is 199 students from grades
K-7. It is the combination of excellent students, staff and
parents that make this a great place to learn!
Our
school and community strives to work together to provide a
safe, supportive environment where all students are encouraged
to do their best academically, physically and socially.
Our
yearly Student Success plan addresses literacy, and social
responsibility. This year we hope to train some of our senior
students as literacy coaches to help read with some of our
younger students. We also hope to utilize the “Smart Boards”
in each class more extensively for student engagement.
We
continually work to make the physical well-being of our students
an important priority with programs like Daily PE, Healthy
Buddies, Fruit and Veggie Snack program and implementation
of the BC Ministry Nutritional Guidelines.
We
at Red Bluff Lhtako believe that developing social responsibility
is extremely important and we have school-wide programs that
focus on teaching our school beliefs: COOPERATION, ACCEPTANCE,
RESPONSIBILITY and RESPECT. At Red Bluff Lhtako we want all
of our students to have positive experiences as leaders and
contributors to our school. We believe that when children
have the opportunity to assist in making our school the best
place it can be, they feel ownership and pride in our collective
goals and successes. It also helps create responsible, caring,
and dependable young people.
Our
staff is very involved with the children and has offered a
variety of teams and clubs. Students in Grade 6 & 7 will
be given opportunities to develop their leadership skills.
Volleyball, basketball, cross-country running, walking
club, speed-stacking club, homework club, and reading clubs
continue to run successfully through the volunteer work of
teachers and parents. Parents are welcome to volunteer in
many roles and there are many opportunities to get involved.
Don't be shy- we need you in whatever manner you can provide.
Please
feel comfortable to speak to your child's teacher about your
concerns as they are always your first line of communication.
If your concerns are still unresolved, please make an appointment
with me by calling the school at 250-747-2634.
